I was writing a book and it\u2019s finally finished and published. The book I wrote together with Kathleen Ghequi\u00e8re traces back a history of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Africa\" target=\"_blank\">Africa<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Europe\" target=\"_blank\">Europe<\/a> that has been ignored for too much time. Some of you know about the mixed race children of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Australia\" target=\"_blank\">Australia<\/a> thanks to movies such as \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rabbit-Proof_Fence_(film)\" target=\"_blank\">Rabbit Proof Fence<\/a>\u2019 or even <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Baz_Luhrmann\" target=\"_blank\">Baz Luhrmann\u2019s<\/a> latest \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Australia_(2008_film)\" target=\"_blank\">Australia<\/a>\u2019. But concerning Africa this history is unknown.<\/p>\n<p>It seems as if the European colonizer didn\u2019t have intimate relationships with the African colonized. But many children were born out of relations between white Europeans and black Africans during colonization. These children undermined the racial colonial order with their existence. These children have been hidden and their stories silenced.
