Dr. Mulroy is recognized as the worlds\u2019s leading authority on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Seminole\" target=\"_blank\">Seminole<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maroon_(people)\" target=\"_blank\">Maroons<\/a>. I am pleased that Bruce Twyman, Ph.D. and author of \u201cThe Black Seminole Legacy and North American Politics\u2019 has done a survey targeting the general public\u2019s views about African- Native Americans and Dr. Henry Louis Gates DNA studies.<\/p>\n<p>The problem that I have with Dr. Gates\u2019 attempts to end the myth that there is a goodly some of African-Americans with Native American ancestry is that he bases his findings totally on DNA results.
