The article discusses the different processes involved in these authors&#8217; study of racialization, based both on theory and their empirical researches; and considers the intertwining of these two concepts with that of gender. Throughout the paper, the author draws comparisons and makes comments on her own field research on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>O artigo cont\u00e9m uma reflex\u00e3o sobre o paradoxo do Brasil mesti\u00e7o e sobre as estreitas rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre racializa\u00e7\u00e3o e g\u00eanero a partir da an\u00e1lise de alguns autores cl\u00e1ssicos e outros atuais. O artigo analisa os processos distintos de elabora\u00e7\u00e3o da racializa\u00e7\u00e3o por que passam esses autores, \u00e0s vezes de forma te\u00f3rica e outras vezes baseada em suas pesquisas emp\u00edricas e, ainda, uma reflex\u00e3o do entrela\u00e7amento desses dois conceitos com o de g\u00eanero.
