Course materials depict individuals and communities that trouble and challenge conventional ideas about racial categorization and the boundaries between groups. Texts represent a wide variety of ethnic and cultural perspectives. Books include <em>Caucasia<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.danzysenna.com\" target=\"_blank\">Danzy Senna<\/a>), <em>A Feather on the Breath of God<\/em> (Sigrid Nunez), <em>Drown<\/em> (Junot Diaz) and <em>My Year of Meats<\/em> (Ruth L.
