Alvarez<\/strong><br \/>\nSection of Neurosurgery.<br \/>\n<em>Hospital Infantil Dr. Arturo Grullon, Santiago, \u00a0Dominican Republic<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objects:<\/strong> Twenty-seven cases of histologically confirmed <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Congenital_disorder\" target=\"_blank\">congenital<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dermoid_cyst\" target=\"_blank\">dermoid cysts<\/a> of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anterior_fontanelle\" target=\"_blank\">anterior fontanel<\/a> in children are reported. <strong>Methods:<\/strong> The age, sex and race of each patient was recorded. <strong>Conclusions:<\/strong> Ages ranged between 2 months and 6 years. There was a female predominance, and 77.7% of these patients were children of mixed race.
