This is joined by Geraldo Santos Pereira&#8217;s <em>Aleijadinho: Passion, Glory and Torment<\/em> (<em>Aleijadinho: Paixao, Gloria e Suplicio<\/em>, 100 mins.) a fictionalized drama about the life of 18th century sculptor <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aleijadinho\" target=\"_blank\">Antonio Francisco Lisboa<\/a>, also known as Aleijadinho. Born the son of a slave, Lisboa struggles with prejudice, mental illness, and disease, but never stops expressing himself through his art. The story unfolds in flashback as a professor investigates the tragic life of the artist.
