We\u2019re gathered for a photograph.<br \/>\nBehind us, the skyline of Atlanta<br \/>\nhidden by the photographer\u2019s backdrop \u2014<br \/>\na lush pasture, green, full of soft-eyed cows<br \/>\nlowing, a chant that sounds like <em>no, no. Yes,<\/em><br \/>\nI say to the glass of bourbon I\u2019m offered.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re lining up now \u2014 Robert Penn Warren,<br \/>\nhis voice just audible above the drone<br \/>\nof bulldozers, telling us where to stand.<em><br \/>\nSay \u201crace,\u201d <\/em>the photographer croons.
