Mr. Singleton asked me to consider this question when I wrote the book: \u201cWhat accelerates racism when dealing with the topic of <em>multiraciality<\/em>?\u201d I used this question as a guide to my thinking and writing. Additionally, I read and <em>reread<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/faculty.unlv.edu\/spencer\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rainier Spencer\u2019s<\/a> outstanding book <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=1040\" target=\"_blank\">Challenging Multiracial Identities<\/a><\/em> in the hopes of better understanding this complex topic. His question \u201cHow do we move away from the fallacy of race while remaining aggressive in the battle against racism?\u201d was another idea I used to guide my work. This book is what I now know I know.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Bonnie M.
