Blow<\/a><\/strong>, Visual Op-Ed Columnist<\/p>\n<p>On Friday <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Barack_Obama\" target=\"_blank\">President Obama<\/a> picked at America\u2019s racial wound, and it bled a bit.<\/p>\n<p>Despite persistent attempts by some to divest the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shooting_of_Trayvon_Martin\" target=\"_blank\">Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman tragedy<\/a> of its racial resonance, the president refused to allow it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=32454\" target=\"_blank\">During a press briefing<\/a>, Mr. Obama spoke of the case, soberly and deliberately, in an achingly personal tone, saying: \u201cYou know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son.
