It examines coverage by <em>The New York Times<\/em>, <em>Washington Post<\/em> and <em>Times-Herald<\/em>, and <em>Chicago Tribune<\/em> of the progression of the landmark civil rights case of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=415\" target=\"_blank\">Loving v. Virginia<\/a><\/em>, in which the Supreme Court overturned <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Virginia\" target=\"_blank\">Virginia\u2019s<\/a> anti-<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=450\" target=\"_blank\">miscegenation<\/a> law, which prohibited marriage between any White and non-White person.
