Now 20 and 17, they are on the cusp of stardom as they ride a wave of praise from critics and prepare for the release of a full-length album early in 2014. When asked to describe their music, Mikaiah says: \u201cPeople have said we sound like the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Black_Keys\" target=\"_blank\">Black Keys<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bad_Brains\" target=\"_blank\">Bad Brains<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Black_Flag_(band)\" target=\"_blank\">Black Flag<\/a>. . . . \u2018Dude, you\u2019re like a little <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jimi_Hendrix\" target=\"_blank\">Jimi Hendrix<\/a>\u2019 \u2014 I find that very flattering.\u201d Still, he questions such comparisons. \u201cWe show up at so many venues \u2014 \u2018Are you guys rappers or something?\u2019 That\u2019s racist. Because I\u2019m wearing a baseball cap and I\u2019m a little bit brown. It\u2019s frustrating.
