An internationally recognized scholar, public\u00a0intellectual, and social justice advocate, she has written and lectured extensively on the interplay of gender, race, and class in legal issues\u00a0and has been a leader in transforming public thinking and policy on reproductive health, child welfare, and bioethics. Professor Roberts is\u00a0author of <em>Killing the Black Body: Race, Reproduction, and the Meaning of Liberty<\/em> (1997); <em>Shattered Bonds: The Color of Child Welfare<\/em>\u00a0(2002); and<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=10863\" target=\"_blank\"><em> Fatal Invention: How Science, Politics, and Big Business Re-create Race in the Twenty-First Century<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(2011).
