Source: Oireachtas.ie<\/small><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Mixed Race Irish is asking for the Government to recognise the abuse they suffered in State-run institutions.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>IN A EMOTIONAL appearance before an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oireachtas.ie\/parliament\/oireachtasbusiness\/committees_list\/jde-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oireachtas committee<\/a>, mixed race survivors of institutional abuse in Ireland have called on the Government to recognise the suffering they endured.<\/p>\n<p>The group, Mixed Race Irish, believe the alleged racist abuse they experienced in these institutions is being \u201cairbrushed from Irish history\u201d.
