I see more bits on the table and all over the floor. Mortified, I shut my eyes.\u00a0 My mind is racing.\u00a0 I\u2019m at a Korean sauna in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Palisades_Park,_New_Jersey\" target=\"_blank\">Palisades, New Jersey<\/a> with my mother and her dear friend.\u00a0 We have all paid for a body scrub and a massage.\u00a0 I am supposed to be relaxing, but instead I am silently freaking out. Bits of my brown skin are everywhere and I am worried about being judged.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m the only black woman in here.\u00a0 The bath area is filled with Korean women of all ages and shapes.\u00a0 It is a beautiful, communal space.\u00a0 Not so much because of the d\u00e9cor, more because of how lovely it is to bare everything without judgment or shame.
