Rosenwald<\/strong><\/a>, Staff Writer<\/p>\n<p>She was a painter displaying her abstract landscapes, a single mother of three daughters who\u2019d grown up on a chicken farm in <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/South_Korea\" target=\"_blank\">South Korea<\/a>. He was a wealthy bachelor with more interest in politics than art who had stopped by the show in suburban <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Maryland\" target=\"_blank\">Maryland<\/a> on a whim.<\/p>\n<p>His eyes didn\u2019t gravitate to the paintings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was more interested in the artist than the art,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He gave her his phone number, but she never called. Still, he didn\u2019t give up.
