Bliss Broyard<\/a> grew up a \u201cWasp\u201d in Connecticut<\/a> with her mother, father and brother. For 23 years she was white, but it wasn’t until her father <\/a>was on his deathbed that she found out he was \u201cpart-black.\u201d After her father died, Broyard began a quest to learn more about her hidden heritage and adopt it in her life.
