(Dartmouth College &#8211; Eli Burakian)<\/small><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Hanover \u2014 <a href=\"http:\/\/now.dartmouth.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dartmouth College<\/a> officials said Thursday that the school\u2019s new Native American Program director has left that position in response to controversy over her representation of her ancestry and tribal affiliation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSusan Taffe Reed will no longer serve as the director of the Native American Program,\u201d college spokeswoman Diana Lawrence said in an email Thursday. \u201cUnfortunately, the distraction around her appointment prevents her from effectively serving in this role.
