It is curated by Fred Liang and Cindy Nakashima who also co-curated an earlier version of the exhibition in 2013 at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.janm.org\" target=\"_blank\">Japanese American National Museum<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Los_Angeles\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy parents married in 1965, when it was still illegal in sixteen states, but they married in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ohio\" target=\"_blank\">Ohio<\/a>, where there were no anti-miscegenation laws,\u201d Nakashima told AsAmNews. My dad is a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nisei\" target=\"_blank\">Nisei<\/a>, my mom is a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/White_Anglo-Saxon_Protestant\" target=\"_blank\">White Anglo Saxon Protestant<\/a> (WASP). They met in graduate school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The interracial marriage rate in the Japanese American community is estimated at 66 percent. It wasn\u2019t until the Supreme Court ruled in 1967, (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=415\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Loving v.
