Over the weekend, Bouattia has sought to offer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=46710\" target=\"_blank\">explanations and context<\/a> for her comments, but in the meantime, several students\u2019 unions have expressed their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/education\/2016\/apr\/22\/students-threaten-break-with-nus-after-election-of-new-president\" target=\"_blank\">intention<\/a> to disaffiliate from NUS as a consequence of her presidency.
