Chang<\/a> has worked with young children and families for over a decade. She is a scholar and activist who focuses on racism, social justice and the Asian American diaspora with a feminist lens.<\/p>\n<p>She will read from her inaugural book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=37319\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Raising Mixed Race: Multiracial Asian Children In a Post-Racial World<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Her writings have appeared in <em>BuzzFeed<\/em>, <em>Hyphen Magazine<\/em>, <em>ParentMap Magazine<\/em>, <em>Seattle Globalist<\/em> and more. She is also a consultant for <a href=\"http:\/\/focseattle.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Families of Color Seattle<\/a> and is on the planning committee for the <a href=\"http:\/\/criticalmixedracestudies.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Critical Mixed Race Conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon will be available after the book reading to sign copies of her book.
