Hern\u00e1ndez<\/em><\/small><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fordham Law Professor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fordham.edu\/info\/23144\/tanya_hernandez\" target=\"_blank\">Tanya Hernandez<\/a> shared excerpts from her upcoming book on multiracialism and civil rights in talk sponsored by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fordham.edu\/info\/25249\/center_on_race_law_and_justice\" target=\"_blank\">Center on Race, Law &amp; Justice\u2019s<\/a> Colloquium on Race and Ethnicity on November 17, not quite seven months shy of the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court\u2019s unanimous decision in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=415\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Loving v. Virginia<\/em><\/a>, which invalidated laws prohibiting interracial marriage and the legal stigma against mixed-race children.<\/p>\n<p>Hernandez outlined the argument presented in her work-in-progress study of multiracial identity in discrimination lawsuits, tentatively titled <em>Multiracials and Civil Rights<\/em>.
