Virginia<\/em>,\u201d will bring together academics, activists, and artists from across the US and abroad to explore the latest developments in critical mixed race studies. The Conference will be held at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">The University of Southern California<\/a> from <strong>February 24-26, 2017<\/strong> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/sait.usc.edu\/campuscenter\/\" target=\"_blank\">USC Ronald Tutor Campus Center<\/a>, 3607 Trousdale Parkway, Los Angeles, CA 90089 and is hosted by the <a href=\"http:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/cjrc\/\" target=\"_blank\">Shinso Ito Center for Japanese Religions and Culture<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will include over 50 panels, roundtables, and caucus sessions organized by the Critical Mixed Race Studies Association as well as feature film screenings and live performances organized by the non-profit <a href=\"http:\/\/mixedrootsstories.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mixed Roots Stories<\/a>. The conference is pleased to run concurrently with the <a href=\"http:\/\/dornsife.usc.edu\/cjrc\/hapa-japan-festival-2017\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hapa Japan Festival<\/a> <strong>February 22- 26, 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The year 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Supreme Court decision in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=415\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Loving v. Virginia<\/em><\/a>, which declared interracial marriage legal.
