For actor comedian <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/peterkz\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Kim<\/a>, it&#8217;s facing the commonplace cultural assumption that white is the default race in America<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Antonio_Mora\" target=\"_blank\">ANTONIO MORA<\/a>: Finally tonight, a look at the subtle ways our society often equates being white with what\u2019s normal.<\/p>\n<p>It comes from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/peterkz\" target=\"_blank\">Peter Kim<\/a>, who was a member of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chicago\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago\u2019s<\/a> famed <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Second_City\" target=\"_blank\">Second City comedy troupe<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is the latest edition of IMHO, In My Humble Opinion.<\/p>\n<p>PETER KIM, Comedian: When you hear the phrase white supremacy, what picture comes to your mind? Maybe it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adolf_Hitler\" target=\"_blank\">Adolf Hitler<\/a> screaming into a microphone. Maybe it\u2019s white-hooded figures marching around a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cross_burning\" target=\"_blank\">burning cross<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For me, it\u2019s a lot less dramatic and a lot more commonplace. So, if I may, I would like to offer an updated definition of white supremacy.
