the bishops&#8217; conference said in an April 26 statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These children were long designated pejoratively as &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=451\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mulattoes<\/a>,&#8217;
