\nAt 6 feet, 5 inches and 238 pounds, Jordan Greenway<\/a> will be the biggest player on the U.S. men\u2019s Olympic hockey team<\/a>.<\/small><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\u201cI just think I\u2019m another kid going to play in the Olympics<\/a>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Boston University hockey player Jordan Greenway<\/a> will make history in Pyeongchang, South Korea<\/a>, becoming the first African-American ever to be selected for the U.S. men\u2019s Olympic hockey team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Breaking that 98-year color barrier, which began in the 1920 Winter Games<\/a> in Antwerp, Belgium<\/a>, when men\u2019s ice hockey was first included, is a significant achievement, but Greenway tells NBC Sports<\/em> that he is just \u201canother kid going to play in the Olympics.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greenway says he\u2019s happy to be first and hopes it will inspire young minorities to give hockey a shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think a lot of African-Americans play hockey at a high level,\u201d said Greenway. \u201cI\u2019m just trying to get more and more of those kids to try and go out and do something different.\u201d…<\/p>\n
