Those surnames are common throughout Latin America, but they\u2019re also common in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Philippines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Philippines<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Because of Spanish colonization, Filipinos and Latinos also share \u2014aside from last names\u2014 religion, food and even similarities in language.
