Krazy was also selected as a <em>Kirkus<\/em> Best Nonfiction Book of 2016 and as one of <em>Vanity Fair\u2018s<\/em> \u201cMust-Read Books of the Holiday Season.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tisserand\u2019s previous books include <em>THE KINGDOM OF ZYDECO<\/em>, an exploration of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Louisiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louisiana<\/a> music that received the ASCAP-Deems Taylor award for music writing, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hurricane_Katrina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hurricane Katrina<\/a> memoir <em>SUGARCANE ACADEMY<\/em>. His work has appeared in <em>The New York Times<\/em>, <em>The Washington Post<\/em>, and <em>The Los Angeles Times<\/em>.
