She\u2019s already won hearts as the endearing Missandei<\/a> on Game of Thrones<\/em><\/a>, but actress Nathalie Emmanuel<\/a> may have won herself a few more since last Sunday\u2019s episode, all due to a simple tweet.<\/p>\n

As Shadow & Act<\/em> reported<\/a> on Thursday, Emmanuel recently became the latest light-skinned actress to turn down a role for a darker-skinned character\u2014even if only in a hypothetical sense…<\/p>\n

…In disavowing a role intended for a darker-complected actress, Emmanuel joined fellow colorblind casting<\/a>-averse actors like Amandla Stenberg<\/a> in affirming that simply being of color isn\u2019t the sole criteria for every black role.
