The vice president is best known for killing rival Alexander Hamilton<\/a> in an 1804 duel<\/a>. But he was also a notorious rake<\/a>, historians say.<\/em><\/p>\n

Within a week of her arrival at Princeton University, Sherri Burr<\/a> received a puzzling phone call.<\/p>\n

The caller, another student, said Sherri was invited to a Burr family meeting \u2014 \u201cBurr\u201d as in Aaron Burr<\/a>, the third vice president of the United States and villain of \u201cHamilton<\/a>,\u201d the astronomically popular musical. Aaron Burr\u2019s father co-founded Princeton, the caller told her, so all descendants who attend the school are summoned to regular gatherings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI took a look down at my brown skin and thought, \u2018Well, that doesn\u2019t apply to me,\u2019 \u201d said Sherri Burr, who was getting her graduate degree from Princeton. \u201cSo I never went.\u201d…<\/p>\n
