A quick Google search entry of \u201care Jews white\u201d yields roughly 89 million results, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2016\/12\/are-jews-white\/509453\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news articles<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forward.com\/scribe\/405016\/no-ashkenazi-jews-are-not-functionally-white\/?utm_source=rss&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Main\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">op-eds<\/a>, and even <a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=itdBdt8OvMwC&amp;printsec=frontcover&amp;source=gbs_ge_summary_r&amp;cad=0#v=onepage&amp;q&amp;f=false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">academic tomes<\/a>. The fact that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anthro.ucla.edu\/faculty\/karen-brodkin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karen Brodkin<\/a> named her 243-page 1998 study on the topic \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mixedracestudies.org\/?p=24609\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How Jews Became White Folks and what that Says about Race in America<\/a>\u201d speaks volumes. Apparently, there was a large enough body of Jews at the time who never suffered anti-Semitism in person for Brodkin to make this title a viable one. A large enough number of American Jews who had never, for example, been denied housing or religious rights, equal opportunity employment (i.e. suffered job discrimination), or experienced insults, social exclusion, threats, and physical violence because of their Jewishness.
