Join T\u2019s book club, which focuses on classic works of American literature, for a conversation on Nella Larsen’s<\/a> \u201cPassing<\/a>\u201d led by the novelist Brit Bennett<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

The third title selected for T Magazine’s<\/em><\/a> book club, Nella Larsen’s<\/a> “Passing<\/a>” (1929) tells the story of two old friends, both Black women, who reunite in 1920s Harlem<\/a>, despite the fact that one of them is living as a white person<\/a>. Critically acclaimed at the time of its publication, the novel captures the social anxieties that plagued America<\/a> during the Great Migration<\/a> and remains a resonant portrait of a fractured nation.<\/p>\n

On March 9, watch a virtual discussion of the book, featuring the novelist Brit Bennett<\/a> in conversation with T features director Thessaly La Force, that will address questions from readers.
