Research and data from &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/library\/stories\/2021\/08\/improved-race-ethnicity-measures-reveal-united-states-population-much-more-multiracial.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2020 Census Illuminates Racial and Ethnic Composition of the Country<\/a>&#8221; by Nicholas Jones, Rachel Marks, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/newsroom\/releases\/archives\/bios\/roberto_ramirez_bio.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roberto Ramirez<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/newsroom\/bios\/merarys-rios-vargas.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Merarys R\u00edos-Vargas<\/a> showed the improvements and changes on the U.S. Census questionnaire enabled a more thorough and accurate depiction of how people self-identify, yielding a more accurate portrait of how people report their Hispanic origin and race within the context of a two-question format.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>October 6, 2021 at 3pm PDT (6pm EDT)<\/strong>, join MASC as we present a virtual event that will bring experts from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Census<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nielsen.com\/us\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nielsen<\/a> and MASC to discuss these changes and what the results revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Expert Panelists:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/newsroom\/bios\/nicholas-a-jones.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Nicholas A.
