I share important books and history lessons I&#8217;ve learned as I shape my understanding of racism and the invention of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/hashtag\/whiteness\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#whiteness<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trujulo.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TruJuLo<\/a> is a production company that uplifts stories that speak truth in pursuit of justice in service of LOVE. This Youtube channel is dedicated to teaching, learning, inspiring, spreading joy and navigating the challenges that <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Person_of_color#BIPOC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BIPOC<\/a> filmmakers experience in their filmmaking journeys.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a Black, Jamaican, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cherokee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cherokee<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blackfeet_Nation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blackfeet<\/a> and Danish playwright, producer, executive producer, actor and development executive working in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cinema_of_the_United_States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hollywood<\/a>. I spent 7 years traveling across the country presenting my one-woman show <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onedropoflove.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>One Drop of Love<\/em><\/a> and have worked as a producer and development executive at <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ben_Affleck\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ben Affleck<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matt_Damon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matt Damon&#8217;s<\/a> production company, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pearlstreet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pearl Street Films<\/a>, for 5 years. I&#8217;m also the co-author of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Inclusion_rider\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inclusion Rider<\/a>, along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cohenmilstein.com\/professional\/kalpana-kotagal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kalpana Kotagal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Color_of_Change\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Color of Change<\/a>.
