Mention Walter White and it will likely conjure an image of Bryan Cranston<\/a> from \u201cBreaking Bad<\/a>,\u201d playing the man who snarled, \u201cI am the danger.\u201d<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s a real-life Walter White<\/a> who deserves to be a household name \u2014 a Black man who faced unfathomable danger in pursuit of truth and justice as he did battle with the American way. White should rank alongside Thurgood Marshall<\/a>, Martin Luther King Jr.<\/a> and Malcolm X<\/a> as a founding father of the civil rights era<\/a>. Yet he is all but forgotten today.<\/p>\n
