She was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arts.gov\/about\/news\/2021\/dr-maria-rosario-jackson-confirmed-chair-national-endowment-arts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed<\/a> by the Senate in December.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson is an Institute Professor in ASU\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/herbergerinstitute.asu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts<\/a> and holds an appointment in the <a href=\"https:\/\/publicservice.asu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions<\/a>.
