Lewis Hamilton<\/a> to change name to include mother Carmen\u2019s surname<\/em><\/p>\n

The British racing driver Lewis Hamilton<\/a> is to change his name to incorporate his mother\u2019s original surname \u2013 Larbalestier.<\/p>\n

The seven-time world champion says he intends to incorporate his mother Carmen\u2019s surname, Larbalestier, alongside Hamilton.<\/p>\n

Hamilton\u2019s father, Anthony, and his mother, Carmen, separated when Lewis was two; he lived with his mother until he was 12 before moving in with his father.<\/p>\n

Speaking before the new Formula One<\/a> season, which starts in Bahrain<\/a> on Sunday, Hamilton, 37, said: \u201cI am really proud of my family\u2019s name. My mum\u2019s name is Larbalestier and I am just about to put that in my name…<\/p>\n
