Assuming she\u2019s asking what it\u2019s like to be Black in Leeds, I tell her that, surprisingly, I had a more Black experience up north than I ever did living in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/London\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">London<\/a>. \u201cI definitely understand what you\u2019re saying,\u201d she says. \u201cAs a teenager, I started getting the bus to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gloucester\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gloucester<\/a> to be around people who were from the same culture as me.
