When his parents&#8217; marriage ended, his father took him and his brother to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Muncie%2C_Indiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Muncie, Indiana<\/a>, where the boys learned that they were half black.
