Do you identify as \u2018mixed\u2019 or \u2018mixed race\u2019? Do you identify with a mixed racial identity?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This project is being conducted for a Master\u2019s thesis in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uofaweb.ualberta.ca\/sociology\/\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Sociology<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ualberta.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">University of Alberta<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the project is to explore a whole range of perspectives and experiences, and the multiple ways that \u2018mixed race\u2019 can be understood.<\/p>\n<p>Male and female participants between 20-30 years of age, who are of \u2018mixed racial\u2019 parentage and who grew up in Canada, and who live or have lived in the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edmonton\" target=\"_blank\">Edmonton, Alberta<\/a> area are being recruited.<\/p>\n<p>Interviews will be conducted with participants, and will take approximately one hour.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to be part of this study, please contact <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uofaweb.ualberta.ca\/sociology2\/paragg.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">Jillian Paragg<\/a> at <a href=\"mailto:paragg@ualberta.ca&amp;subject=Research Project on Mixed Race Identity\" target=\"_blank\">paragg@ualberta.ca<\/a> or if you know of someone who may be interested in participating, please pass this message on to them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Research Project on Mixed Race Identity Are you of a mixed racial background?
